The exhibit title is from a phrase in John Gerard’s "Dedicatorie" to his "Herball," published in 1597: "…what greater delight is there than to behold the earth apparelled with plants?"The artwork includes watercolor paintings of meadow flowers, drawn and painted from life in season, and 24 hand-colored prints of watercolors of flowers from the artist's garden, painted from January to December of 2023. "Also included are 20 'Pockets Books,' a winter project, illuminating that 'greater delight" and also being a nod to libraries - to the Miller Library in particular - a rich resource of horticulture books about the earth 'apparelled with plants.'"
