Through archetypes of geometry and the imagination of metaphor, Katonah Yoga breathes new life into the practice. In this 10-hour Intensive, Greg and David will guide you through three principles applied within a Taoist-based approach to yoga: trinity mediates polarity, patterns reveal intelligence, and repetition affords insight. Three days, three enriching workshops to construct a new paradigm of yoga practice.
Day 1 : Polarities, Pole Sequence & Breathwork Wind-Down
Day 2 : Magic Square, King of the Mountain & Sun Salutations
Day 3 : Fluency Practice, Body Reading & Therapeutic Prop Work
Participants will dive deep into Katonah Yoga themes through physical practices, functional theory and energetic breathwork.
Open to students and teachers of all levels. No prior Katonah Yoga experience required
*Hours bankable toward Katonah Yoga Certification.

Katonah Yoga® is a syncretic practice that blends classical Hatha yoga with Taoist theory, geometry, metaphor, and imagination—offering a practical framework for personal and communal well-being.
David Triptow is a Fargo-based yoga educator, movement artist, choreographer, and musician whose work is deeply influenced by both his performing arts background and his yogic studies. A lifelong learner and omni-curious teacher, David integrates metaphor, structure, storytelling, and embodiment into his classes.
David is certified in Katonah Yoga®, received his 200-hour RYT through Yoga Vida in NYC, and has completed over 300 hours of advanced study with Benjamin Sears. He continues to study with teachers from a variety of traditions and lineages.
His teaching blends alignment, breathwork, Taoist philosophy, sacred geometry, and self-inquiry into practices that cultivate resilience, adaptability, creativity, and embodied awareness.
Informed by a culmination of artistic, embodied, and contemplative studies, David offers immersive and well-rounded classes that invite students into a more curious and conversational relationship with the body, mind, and spirit.
Greg Hines has studied Katonah Yoga under the tutelage of Abbie Galvin at The Studio in NYC, the guidance of Alex Sharry of Tenon Movement and with the mentorship of pilates/yoga instructor Mary Dana Abbott. He completed various trainings in Berlin, Puerto Vallarta, Los Angeles and New York City in topics including home practice, hands-on adjustments, restorative yoga, and body reading.
