Szilágyi GyulaA Karzatkoncertek sorozata márciusban a 16–18. század orgonazenéjének világába kalauzolja a hallgatókat. A historikus repertoárban különösen otthonos orgonaművész, Szilágyi Gyula az amszterdami Sweelinck Zeneakadémián végzett, majd Portugáliában és Spanyolországban szerzett nemzetközi tapasztalatokat, mielőtt visszatért Magyarországra. Műsora is ezt a színgazdagságot tükrözi, mely során ibériai csatazene, valamint francia és német egyházi kompozíciók, Händel életteli orgonaversenye, továbbá Scarlatti és Bach remekművei szólalnak meg. Szilágyi Gyula a korabeli előadói gyakorlatot követve idézi meg hitelesen a templomi és udvari zenék karakterét és hangzását – a Müpa lenyűgöző orgonáján, a közönséghez egészen közel, a karzati játszóasztalnál ülve. A látvány és az akusztikai élmény egyaránt izgalmas estet ígér.

LIn March, the Gallery Concerts series takes listeners on a journey through the organ music of the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries. Gyula Szilágyi, an organist who feels particularly at home in the historic repertoire, graduated from the Sweelinck Academy in Amsterdam. He then gathered international experience in Portugal and Spain before returning to Hungary. His programme mirrors this rich palette of influences: Iberian battle music, French and German sacred works, Handel’s vibrant organ concerto, plus masterpieces by Scarlatti and Bach. Faithfully following the performance practice of the period, Szilágyi will vividly recreates the character and sound of church and court music – seated at the console of the spectacular Müpa Budapest organ on the choir loft, mere metres from the audience. A thrilling evening awaits both visually and acoustically.
