Even if you don't have any background in art history, you’ll find something captivating in this tour. The tour provides a first-hand experience, allowing you to gain direct insights, learn extensively about art and art historical context, and get answers to the questions you’re curious about. In addition to general information about the specific art genre being explored participants can learn practical methods for experiencing art and looking at it critically.
The art tour will take 3 hours in total. You will be in a group with max.12 people.

The curated art tours with Irem explore the latest exhibitions and museum trends in Amsterdam. By focusing on a specific exhibition, participants have the opportunity to gain in-depth art historical knowledge about a particular artist and art movement, all under the guidance of an expert/curator. The tours also provide space to meet new people, to discuss and interact with art together.
Who is Irem Sezer K.?
Irem Sezer is a cultural professional and independent curator based in Amsterdam. Throughout her career, Irem has worked with various arts and cultural organizations in both Turkey and the Netherlands, including The Museum of Innocence, SALT Galata, Prince Claus Fund, Framer Framed, and CODA Apeldoorn. She has taken on diverse roles such as archival assistant, exhibition coordinator, researcher, and writer.
As an independent curator, Irem enjoys combining these different skills by participating in various projects, exhibitions, and events. She is particularly interested in migration, with a focus on the new wave of migration from Turkey and currently working on a project to document and archive this ongoing migration.

Who can attend?
Everyone welcome to the tours. However the content of the chosen exhibition/topic may not be suitable to children up to certain age. It is advised to discuss with the curator beforehand.
Time frame:
30 min: meeting and introduction
15 mins: entrance to the exhibition
2 hours: guided tour
15 mins: conclusion and last remarks
It’s also possible to organise private in-group art tours and team activities at your favourite museums and exhibitions on your desired date & time.
