About this Event
Kally Lloyd-Jones and Steinvör Palsson continue with the creation of Company Chordelia’s new work Revel, a 60+ coming of age story. The show has been gradually taking shape over the last 18 months and this next stage will cement the R&D they have been doing.
Taking place in the theatre dressing room of every show they have ever been in, past, present and future, this dance theatre show combines physical theatre and dance, dialogue and music, moving between real and surreal. Two performers perpetually navigate the memories and shifting realities of their bodies and minds with wry humour as they get ready to step out on stage once more. In a world where we do battle with ideas of who we are told to be, wish we were and actually are, accepting and embracing ourselves as we are now is the backbone and challenge of this show. This piece is fundamentally about adaptability, resilience, loss, irreverence, joie de vivre and dancing.
