The Rock Kendo and Iaido Club (The Rock) is a non-profit Japanese martial arts club based in St. John's, NL. Its Kaizen Bursary has been established to support the continued growth and development of its students dedicated to the study and preservation of Kendo, Iaido, and Jodo. The bursary will enable worthy applicants to participate in regional seminars, national examinations, and higher gradings or tournaments where financial demands may be prohibitive.It is the club's intention to award up to three bursaries for 2026, one each semester (i.e. Spring, Fall, and Winter). The value of each bursary for this year is $500, subject to the dojo’s fiscal capacity.
This fundraiser, an evening of music and fun, will assist The Rock to fund its Kaizen Bursary awards for 2026.
This event has been made possible with the support of Bannerman Brewery and the time and talent of the wonderful members of Rebel Tide.
