About this Event

Join us on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, for Justice Day on the Hill. This is an opportunity for us to use our collective voice to educate lawmakers about the many problems with Tennessee’s death penalty.

To begin the day, you are invited to join us for a legislative breakfast in the Old State Law Library Room located in the Tennessee Capitol Building at 8:00 a.m. Senior Advisor to Oklahoma Conservatives Concerned and Former Oklahoma Pardon and Parole Board Chairman Adam Luck will serve as our featured speaker. Mr. Luck will share about how his pro-life position came to inform his work on the Oklahoma Pardon and Parole Board and led him to conclude that the death penalty is inconsistent with a pro-life position.

Following the breakfast around 8:30 a.m., we will begin a brief training to prepare you for your legislative visits that day. TADP Executive Director Stacy Rector will lead the training for all those who plan to meet with lawmakers. This training is mandatory if you will be making visits that day.

After completing training, we will proceed to the Cordell Hull Building (CHB) to meet our legislators and educate them about the problems with Tennessee’s death penalty. We will have a table set up in the first floor dining area of the CHB which will serve as our gathering spot throughout the day.

TADP will set up your meetings for you and will provide you with the materials to make your visits with other TADP supporters. Meetings will be set up throughout the day, and you only need to attend the 8:30 a.m. training and your meetings if you are able. If you are not able to make your meetings because of conflicts with your schedule that day, TADP will provide you with a sample email that you can send to your lawmakers instead.

Please make sure to include your mailing address in your registration so that we an identify your lawmaker and set up your meetings.

Hope to see you on March 31, 2026!
