What exactly is kink and how do you even start exploring it? This spooky season, join certified sex coach and educator Jasper St. James for a crash course in Kink 101. We’ll demystify what kink really is, give you an overview of common kinks and how to explore them, and talk through the fundamentals like consent, communication, and aftercare. Along the way, you’ll get practical tips for beginners (because sometimes even small changes in the bedroom can make a big impact) and have the chance to explore interactive learning stations that make kink feel playful and hands-on. Plus, shop from amazing local vendors and makers and connect with community resources that will support your journey long after the workshop.
Whether you’re just a little curious or already feeling a little kinky, this is your chance to mix, mingle, and build community in a safe, sex-positive space. Come festive and rock your favorite Halloween look, or if you’re feeling bold, slip into your kink or fetish wear and strut it proudly.

Fine Print (a.k.a. The Important Stuff):
This event is open to folks of all genders and sexualities. Whether you’re flying solo, coming with a partner(s), or rolling in with your crew, everyone is welcome, as long as you’re 21 years or older.
This workshop is presentation-based. That means you’ll be learning through guided discussion, tips, and interactive education. There will not be any live sexual demonstrations (This ain’t that kind of party. No shade to those kinds of parties, though.) Instead, think of this as a shame-free, inclusive, and affirming space where you can learn, ask questions, and explore safely.
Consent is non-negotiable. That means no touching, no play, and no crossing boundaries without clear, enthusiastic agreement. Respect is mandatory, and so is kindness. No homophobia, transphobia, fatphobia, racism, ageism, sexism, ableism, or any other form of discrimination will be tolerated. If you can’t vibe with respect, this isn’t the event for you.
Since we are in the spooky season, festive attire is encouraged! Whether you’re rocking a costume, your favorite Halloween look, or some kink/fetish wear, dress how you like but please bring a cover-up for public spaces. For safety, no real weapons or anything that could be mistaken for one are allowed.

About Jasper St. James:
Jasper St. James is a Certified Sex Coach and Sex Educator with over eight years of experience in the field of sexual health and wellness. Formerly with the Sexology Institute, he has spent nearly a decade empowering people to explore intimacy, pleasure, and confidence with knowledge and humor.
Beyond the classroom, Jasper is a proud, San Antonio based content creator who highlights the best of the city, the founder and organizer of the You Better Walk: Queer Walking Club, and an award-winning burlesque performer with more than 15 years on stage. A staple in the local queer and creative community, he brings a mix of expertise, authenticity, and unapologetic flair to everything he does.
