About this Event
We know that striving for equity, diversity and inclusion is a key part of our role as team leaders - yet is there a little voice in your head that pops up now and again and asks
What does inclusion even mean?
Am I being inclusive in my actions as a leader?
If I was, how would I even know?
What am I missing?
What is my team not telling me?
Yes! Us too, these are questions that Lucy and Jen are navigating all the time as they help their with clients.
Creating teams where everyone feels included is vital not only to individual health and wellbeing but also to effectiveness and delivering the best work. Even more so given the unsettling times we live in.
But often we worry we might be getting it wrong. What does good even look like? And how do we know?
Inclusion is often presented as policy or something that’s considered as a bolt on. But when we centre inclusion we can transform team dynamics and performance, and importantly how we feel about our work.
So we’ve called in the amazing author, social historian and leadership consultant Nick Basannavar, to share some of his most effective practical tips for building an inclusive team. Nick co-authored the book ‘The Key to Inclusion’, published in July 2022, and is bringing his expert insight and real stories to share with us at this event.
Book your ticket and you’ll leave with more than just one thing. You’ll leave with:
- An understanding of what an inclusive team looks and feels like - and overcoming the barriers to achieving it
- Insight into yourself - what you’re already doing well and where you can level up
- Practical tips and activities you can introduce into your workplace straight away
You’ll also have had some great conversations with interesting people, over a bite to eat and a drink in a central London venue.
