Join Noughty Wasters and Local Making for a series of 3 workshops where discarded electronics (e-waste) will be transformed into a working remote control robot. Suitable for ages 8-14, you'll learn basic electronics, creative re-use and upcycling of e-waste, wood, and other materials.
The programme is run by two highly experienced facilitators and limited to only 6 participants who will work together to create one robot collaboratively.

More about Adam:
Adam Ben-Dror is a multidisciplinary artist, designer and inventor based in the Whau, West Auckland. Adam is particularly interested in working resourcefully with discarded electronics and e-waste. Transforming these materials into functional, beautiful and sometimes useful things.
Together with Xin Cheng, he co-runs Local Making (www.localmaking.org), a design studio and neighbourhood-scaled laboratory for resourceful living and making, which supports hands-on experimentation, skill-sharing, and community-based approaches to material reuse.
Previously Adam designed interactive public sculptures for Auckland City Council while working at the multi disciplinary Design Studio Alt Group.
