Shelby Bottoms Sound Bath with John Paul & Braxton Nicholas
Saturday, June 13 • 4:00 PM
Shelby Bottoms Nature Center • East Nashville
Tickets: $35
Step away from the noise of daily life and immerse yourself in an afternoon of deep relaxation, reflection, and sound.
Join professional sound healer John Paul and acclaimed Nashville musician Braxton Nicholas for a restorative sound bath experience inside the beautiful Shelby Bottoms Nature Center. Surrounded by the peaceful energy of one of Nashville's most beloved natural spaces, you'll be invited to settle into stillness while waves of sound wash over you.
John Paul has been facilitating sound baths at Shelby Bottoms for over two years and is a certified sound healer through the Sound Healers Academy, where he studied under Kayce Laine. Drawing on over two decades as a professional musician and music director, he brings a rare level of artistry and sensitivity to his sound healing work.
What makes this experience especially unique is John's use of the upright bass as a sound healing instrument. Through rich resonant tones, bows, harmonics, and ambient textures, he creates immersive soundscapes that are both grounding and deeply evocative.
Joining him is Braxton Nicholas, an exceptional flutist, saxophonist, and sound healing musician whose expressive playing adds a beautiful layer of melody and atmosphere to the journey. Braxton has performed extensively throughout Nashville and beyond, including appearances with touring artists, the B.B. King All-Star Band, Carnival Cruise Lines, and the Rochester International Jazz Festival. His roots in jazz, soul, blues, and fusion bring warmth, creativity, and depth to every performance.
Together, John and Braxton will guide participants through a sonic experience designed to encourage relaxation, mindfulness, and connection.
Whether you're seeking stress relief, emotional renewal, creative inspiration, or simply a peaceful afternoon immersed in sound, this experience offers a welcoming space to unwind and restore.
