June 24-25 & July 23-24: ONLINE Teaching Units 1-8 of Data Science Course

A live, online workshop over 4 days to learn to teach Units 1-8 of our high school data science course (recording of all sessions included).
About this Event

High school teachers, join the youcubed curriculum writing team* for an introductory workshop to prepare to teach all eight units of Explorations in Data Science! The training is conducted remotely via Zoom and offers in-depth sessions on Units 1-8, including hands-on experience with the technology tools in the course, over 4 days:

Tuesday, June 24
Wednesday, June 25
Wednesday, July 23
Thursday, July 24

Each session of the workshop will begin at 8:45 am Pacific Time and end at 3:00 pm Pacific Time, with a lunch break approximately 45 minutes long in the middle. Participants will receive a certificate verifying 20 Professional Development Hours (2 CEUs).

* PLEASE NOTE THAT JO BOALER IS NOT A PRESENTER AT THIS WORKSHOP

Individual participants: $1,990 per person

Groups of 2 or more: $1,800 per person

Each participant must log into the workshop individually, from their own device, to be admitted to the workshop. We encourage teams of educators from the same school or district to participate in the workshop together and offer a discounted rate to groups of 2 or more; however, we do not permit groups to log in with a single registration. If multiple people from your school or district are planning to attend this workshop, please ensure that each member of the group has a paid registration associated with their name.

This workshop will only take place if minimum enrollment levels are achieved. If the workshop is cancelled due to low enrollment, registered participants will receive a refund.

All registered participants will receive an email before each session with a Zoom link and password. After each session, we will provide a recording and a link to all slides or other resources used in the session. These follow-up emails will be sent to all registered participants, regardless of whether they attended the live session, so that participants who wish to review the material or catch up on a session that they missed will have the opportunity to do so before the next session. All recordings and other resources will remain available to registered participants for at least one year after the workshop end date.
