"The Hatch Organ Trio is a fresh Bristol project comprised of exciting jazz musicians who are regulars on the scene. The group is spearheaded by guitarist Ollie Hatch, whose straight-ahead influenced and bebop flavoured melodic improvisation leads the trio through an eclectic range repertoire of swinging jazz, groove-soaked funk and hard-hitting jazz fusion. Accompanied by the versatile, locked-in groove of drummer George Milnes, and funky, blues influenced sound of organist Ellis Howell, the trio will take you on a musical journey from Wes Montgomery to John Scofield, to Dr Lonnie Smith and Joe Pass.”
