Catch July Talk and Born Ruffians live in concert at the Kingston Grand Theatre on February 27 – part of the 2026 Kingston Canadian Film Festival!Juno-Award winning July Talk is one of those bands that demands to be seen live. Their shows are intense, explosive, unpredictable, and cathartic. On stage they’re swaggering rock gods, pushing and pulling each other through raucous sets, throwing shapes and striking poses. Off stage they’ve been busy too: Peter Dreimanis popped up last spring in Ryan Coogler’s Sinners, and has several of cinematography credits to his name. Leah Fay Goldstein moonlights as an actor, and was nominated for a Canadian Screen Award for Best Actress after her acting debut in Pavan Moondi’s 2015 Diamond Tongues. Now the pair are starring in Pavan Moondi’s MIDDLE LIFE, alongside Born Ruffians’ frontperson Luke Lalonde, and we’re thrilled to announce that both July Talk and Born Ruffians will be here for KCFF26! MIDDLE LIFE will be screening at the Fest (details TBA), and Lalonde will be appearing in a few other KCFF26 screenings, but here’s your chance to see them all in rock-star mode.
