ABOUT JULIAN
A native of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Julian Rauh began studying double bass at the age of 13 at Parkway Middle School. He has studied with Juan Carlos Peña since 2018, and in the studio of Timothy Cobb here at Lynn since 2022. Julian has performed with the Lynn Philharmonia and the Eastern Music Festival Orchestra. He has participated in master classes with Nathaniel West, Tom Martin, and Leonid Finkelshteyn, and was awarded second place in the Philadelphia International Music Festival Concerto Competition. He is also the recipient of the Legendary Pioneer Award from Dillard High School’s Center for the Arts. Outside of music, Julian enjoys reading, writing, and playing Dungeons & Dragons.
