Join us at the Institute for Journalism and Racial Justice (IJRJ) for a day of networking with Chicago’s hyperlocal, independent media community. IJRJ is an innovative new resource for media makers, emerging, and seasoned journalists interested in becoming part of Chicago's local media community.
What to expect:
- Hands-on skills refresher sessions to reset reporting, sourcing and interviewing moxie
- Open dialogue for creating content with a racial equity lens
- Engagement with hyperlocal, indie media reps in panel discussions and one to one pitch sessions
Who:
Anyone interested in learning more about creating content that is equitable and inclusive for Chicago-area media organizations.
Breakfast, lunch, and refreshments provided.
Space is limited. RSVP is required.
When selecting your ticket, please indicate participation for:
- Morning skills refresher sessions only (9 a - noon)
- Afternoon presentations, panel, networking and pitch sessions (noon - 4:30 p)
