Meet the Band, Meet the Artist
Malevolence are one of the hottest bands to emerge from the British metal scene in recent years. Founded by two guitarists, Josh Baines and Konan Hall, in 2010 in Sheffield, Malevolence’s crushing riffs unite every fan of heavy music from beatdown to sludge and everything in between.
Josh Baines has gained a massive following thanks to his time-signature defying fluid riffs & sterling techniques, which subsequently landed him a well deserved spot as Ibanez and Laney official artist.
What’s This Event All About?
guitarguitar are thrilled to have Josh Baines in for an exclusive run of metal guitar masterclasses taking place at three of our branches: Glasgow, Birmingham and Camden!
During each clinic, Josh Baines will talk about his career as a guitarist as well as talk about the history of his band Malevolence. He’ll then play through a selection of tunes, focusing on techniques used in each. Josh Baines will also go through his gear used in the studio and on stage, highlighting his love for Ibanez guitars. Upon the end of the clinic, he’ll offer an open Q&A with the audience. The night will finish off with a meet and greet where the fans will have the chance to take a photo with Josh.
