One of the most exciting artists of his generation is going back on tour in 2024! With two new singles, the magnificent 'Flowers' and the very recent 'Freedom', Jordan Rakei oscillates between softness, class and groove. The young thirty-year-old thus announces in a very beautiful way the upcoming arrival of “The Loop”, his fifth album. The perfect opportunity to get back on the road to concerts with a visit to us already essential at AB!
His name is now a major reference in the international musical landscape. Musician, author, performer, multi-instrumentalist, and producer, but also a caring young father, Jordan Rakei wears many hats with talent. In 2016, he released his first album 'Cloak', inspired by the London jazz scene. Very quickly, he was spotted by the Ninja Tune label on which he then released two magical albums ‘Wallflower’ (2017) and ‘Origin’ (2019). With his delicious blend of soul, jazz and hip-hop, Jordan Rakei multiplies collaborations (FKJ, Richard Spayen, Tom Misch, Loyle Carner, etc.), travels the whole world and garners prestigious nominations (Grammy Awards, Mercury Prize , …). The young New Zealander confirms his new status with 'What We Call Life' in 2021, which he presented to us live at AB in 2022 during a masterful concert. Today, it is full of new energy and new inspirations that Jordan Rakei announces the upcoming arrival of 'The Loop'. A fifth self-produced album carried by the brilliant 'Flowers' and 'Freedom', two intelligent, subtle and light tracks. His universe, always tinged with jazz and funky grooves, is a treat for the ears. With this new album, Rakei offers us his most coherent and accomplished production to date.
