+ LAPWING_____________________________________Jonny Beer is a singer songwriter based in Manchester, UK, but not in the traditional sense. He has recently ditched the acoustic guitar and with the addition of Oli Foster (bass) and Sam O'Reilly (drums) the sound has been turbocharged to the max, landing somewhere between the golden age of noughties alt rock, 70s punk, with a hint of disco thrown in for good measure. His 2024 EP 'New City, New Strangers' showcases the variety of these influences, whilst keeping his personal storytelling and melodic hooks centre stage. The best way, however, to experience a taste of the tipple Mr Beer and his band have to offer is to come see them live and loud on stage.
