If you are someone who spends your days supporting others—this day was created with you in mind.
Join us at Wild Grounded Retreats for a full day of learning, reflection, and connection set along the Ottawa River. This offering brings together practical, evidence-based education with space to slow down, integrate, and reconnect with yourself alongside other helping professionals.
This is more than a workshop day.
It’s an opportunity to deepen your work while also tending to your own nervous system.
What the Day Includes:
🌿 Morning Workshop (10:30 – 12:00)
Understanding & Supporting Neurodivergent Children & Youth
Facilitated by Erin Curtis, Dragonfly Family & Learning Services Inc.
This session offers a compassionate, evidence-based look into the neurodivergent experience. Participants will explore function-based strategies focused on connection, skill-building, and co-learning, with opportunities to reflect on their own professional practice and receive real-time feedback.
🌿 Afternoon Workshop (1:00 – 3:00)
Burnout Prevention Through Nervous System Awareness for Health Professionals
Facilitated by Julie Edwards, MSW, RSW – Wild Grounded
A clinically grounded and deeply relevant exploration of burnout in helping professions. Rooted in nervous system awareness, lived experience, and practical tools, this session will support you in understanding how burnout develops—and what actually helps prevent it.
Together, we will explore:
Personal nervous system patterns
Early signs of burnout
Micro-regulation tools you can use immediately
What support truly sustains you in your work
Connection with others who understand the demands of helping roles
Who This Is For:
Social workers, therapists, educators, ECEs, healthcare workers, and anyone in a helping role supporting children, youth, or families.
Investment:
Full Day (2 workshops + lunch): $195
Single Workshop: $85
Optional Lunch (with single workshop): $25
