Join us on Sunday, April 6 at the Swan Parade in Stratford, Ontario. The parade will begin at 2:00 and our booth will open at 1:00 at the intersection of Morenz and Lakeside Drive. Come learn about swans, challenge your swan knowledge with a trivia quiz, get a colouring page for the kids, and see a real swan egg! Then watch the festivities. In Stratford, Mute Swans spend the warmer months on Lake Victoria but once it freezes, they are moved indoors. The annual parade takes them back to the lake. Led by the Stratford Police Pipes and Drums Band, it starts at the swans' winter quarters on Morenz Drive and continues along Lakeside Drive where the swans re-enter the water. This always draws a huge crowd of swan lovers - and the swans are happy to get back in the water!
