Tonight's trio features three of the very best musicians in the region - the wonderfully exciting violinist John Pearce, the multi award-winning Dave Newton on piano and the brilliant Nick Pini on double bass.
The virtuoso violinist John Pearce needs little introduction to the regular Fringe Jazz audience, being one of the club's most frequently featured artists since we started back in 2012. Having said that, it's actually been almost two years since John last appeared, so we're more than delighted to welcome him back. Dave Newton is acknowledged as one of the country's finest jazz piano players, and has been voted "Best Jazz Pianist" in the British Jazz Awards a record 16 times. The trio is completed by the superb bassist Nick Pini who combines being well known on the London Jazz scene with playing and touring with major artist including Laura Marling, Tom Jones, Mary-Chapin Carpenter, Seth Lakeman and The Puppini Sisters.
Expect to hear fascinating interpretations of well known standards played with mesmerising technique, subtlety and almost telepathic rapport.
