The Country Soul Sessions would like to invite you to an evening of Folk ’n’ Western and Country Soul♩♫ ♩ ♪ ♬ ♪John Miller and his Country Casuals
Honky Tonk hero John Miller and his Country Casuals will be returning to the Country Soul in February. One of the great country singers these Islands have produced Mr Miller began his musical journey in the 1990s fronting Glasgow alternative Country Rock outfit Radio Sweethearts. Having released many recordings his latest long player “Losers Hall Of Fame” (Folk’n’Western Recording Co.) was released in 2024 to much acclaim. Appearing with John on stage will be regular Country Casuals Martin Barrett on electric guitar and Sy McBain on double bass. Joining them will be their good friends Mr Phil Morgan on the steel guitar and drum legend Brian Nevill. This 'very special' lineup will be going through their Country paces before they head to Spain for their appearance at the famous Rockin’ Race Jamboree. Don’t miss them!

Alan Tyler
We are delighted that Alan Tyler will also be returning to the Country Soul. Alan Tyler is best known as the singer of The Rockingbirds, the wrangler-clad pioneers of Americana who galloped haphazardly into the Camden indie music scene in the 1990s and who went on to record for such labels as Heavenly, Cooking Vinyl, Loose & Hanky Panky. Alan has also been an indomitable force in London’s roots live music scene, his regular hosting of the once monthly “Come Down & Meet The Folks” an event spanning decades, is a testament to the sizeable contribution he has made to roots music in the capital. For this Session Alan will be selecting some of the best songs from his impressive 12 album career, and will also draw a few reminiscences from his esteemed new memoir: How To Never Have A Hit.
