Friday Oct. 17: Concert & Exhibition in TorontoDear Toronto friends,
After returning from Europe, I want to share what will be a special event for me: a concert with my full set-up at the Redwood's STEINWAY SERIES. They will also be hanging and projecting several of my ink line drawings, as well as prints & postcards available. Many of the drawings are on Arabic/Near-Eastern motifs, as well as depictions of olive trees -- please feel free to arrive early to view them (also during intermission)!

One of Canada's most creative pianists, John Kameel Farah's music embraces aspects of Baroque and Early Music, Arabic Music, Improvisation and Electronic Music into something he calls "Baroque-Arabic-Futurism".
He studied at the University of Toronto, where he received the Glenn Gould Composition Award twice. In 2023 he received the Johanna Metcalf Award for the Performing Arts, and was a guest-performer with Tangerine Dream in Toronto. He has performed Bach's complete Well-Tempered Clavier and the piano works of Arnold Schoenberg, and earlier this year performed his own works at the Berlin Philharmonic. Currently he is doing a residency with the National Arts Centre, writing a piano concerto which he will perform with the National Arts Centre Orchestra in 2026.
