Come and experience New York City's only live performance of Bach's masterpiece on Good Friday!
About this Event

J. S. Bach's Saint John Passion, BWV 245, is among the greatest settings of the Passion in the history of music. Saint Peter’s Choir and Baroque Orchestra continues their annual tradition of presenting this masterwork on Good Friday in the context of the liturgy. The performance will be sung in German and feature period instruments, with opportunity for participation with the Chorales, in English, by the congregation.

Saint Peter’s is the only place in the New York City metropolitan area to hear the piece presented in such a manner. This special musical event is in-person only, with recordings available online at a later date. You can view last year’s performance here.

Featuring Vincent Carr as conductor and Jacob Perry as evangelist, the Saint Peter’s Choir and Baroque Orchestra will offer only one performance. Purchase your ticket and come experience this vibrant interpretation of Bach’s masterpiece right in the heart of Midtown Manhattan. Enjoy VIP treatment by supporting us at a higher level of donation! For more information, please click here. We look forward to seeing you at 54th and Lexington on April 3rd!
