About this Event

JOCEF MICHAEL BAND: Jocef, is another "local dreamer" out of Columbus, OH. He started a solo career while in college with a goal to make a record whether the music was heard or not. He ended up asking his friend Tyler Joseph to feature on his debut album "In Search of L.O.V.E" (the song- Live). The record was released in December of 2010 also featuring Alon and Juda The Method.

Later, he featured on Joseph's Twenty One Pilots second record, "Regional At Best" (the song- Be Concerned). In Feb. 2012, Jocef started a band called JMB. The Columbus based duo-band consists of Jocef (Michael) Langston & Jacob Carlton. The sound was a fusion of hip-hop, R&B, and pop, which he called "Indie-Pop-Soul".

On the side, Jocef worked with friends and producers Michael Quinlan and Michael Linney on music for movies "Fast Furious 7" and "Best Man Holiday". In 2013, one of his songs was picked to be in the movie "Best Man Holiday" (Nothing But Time)

Jacob Carlton met Jocef through a pick-up basketball game set by Coach Chris Joseph (Tyler Joseph's dad) Carlton played in Ohio State's BDBITL (Best Damn Band In The Land) snare section for four years. Having so much in common and always crossing paths on OSU campus, the two were destined to combine their musical talent to create something special.

In 2015, Carlton received a call from best friend, Zack Joseph, to call Tyler about being in Twenty-One Pilot's "Lane Boy" video, during a JMB band practice. Jocef was later featured as "FAME," in the video and shared the stage with Josh Dun, Zack Joseph and Tyler Joseph during TOP's energy filled sold out hometown show at the Schottenstein Center in Columbus, OH.

Their debut record, "Grey Matter" is set to be released by summer.

Drawing from influences that span the entire musical spectrum, The Conway Brothers have been known to light up any stage with their signature blend of blues, funk, rock, & soul. Reconvening with the larger group in 2022 after a few-years-long hiatus, this collective of Akron natives (formerly known as Jovan Wilder & The Wild Things) is primed to reestablish themselves on the local/regional scene with a whole slew of new original music. Featuring Corey Conway (guitar), Dylan Conway (drums), Jovan Wilder (Vocals), Spencer Cutlip (bass), Alex Urquhart (guitar), and Dave Sorboro (keys).
