Joanne Robertson ist Musikerin und Malerin. Sie arbeitet regelmäßig mit ihren Freund*innen zusammen, zuletzt mit Dean Blunt bei Backstage Raver und mit Sidsel Meineche Hansen bei Alien Baby. 2018 zog sie von London nach Glasgow. Sowohl ihre Malerei als auch ihre Musik bilden improvisatorische Momente des Ausdrucks. Blue Car ist eine Sammlung von Songs aus ihrem Archiv unveröffentlichter Solo-Aufnahmen – ähnlich wie Painting Stupid Girls versuchen diese Tracks, wie Tagebucheinträge, den Moment festzuhalten und beschreiben, wo Robertson sich an diesem oder jenem Tag emotional befand. Wann sie diese Songs geschrieben hat, ist unbekannt. Alle Songs wurden im Zeitraum von etwa zehn Jahren geschrieben. Ihr kommendes Soloalbum Blurrr erscheint 2025 bei AD 93.

Pillbert ist das Projekt der in München geborenen Künstlerin Lilian Mikorey – einer Sängerin, Songwriterin, Multiinstrumentalistin und Produzentin mit Wurzeln im Musiktheater und einem Abschluss in Populärer Musik von der Goldsmiths, University of London. Unter dem Namen Pillbert erschafft sie eine traumhafte Welt, in der Fabelwesen und geheimnisvolle Farben ständig verändernde Klanglandschaften durchstreifen, die von ihrem sanften Gesang und ihrer ruhigen emotionalen Klarheit geprägt sind. Beeinflusst von Outsider-Musik, Ambient-Sound-Layern und alternativem Pop, setzt sie auf DIY-Produktionsmethoden und verwendet häufig Field-Recordings, um ihre zarten Klangwelten weiterzuentwickeln. Pillberts Debüt-EP Fish on Land erscheint im August bei Squama.

Joanne Robertson is a musician and painter. Joanne collaborates regularly with her friends, most recently with Dean Blunt on Backstage Raver, and Sidsel Meineche Hansen on Alien Baby. She moved to Glasgow in 2018, after having lived in London. Her painting and music both form improvisatory moments of expression. Blue Car is a collection of songs from her archive of unreleased solo recordings, similar to Painting Stupid Girls, these tracks attempt to record the moment, and where she was at emotionally that day, similar to diary entries. The dates she wrote these songs is unknown, they span roughly a ten year period. Upcoming solo record Blurrr is to be released on AD 93 in 2025.

Pillbert is the project of Munich-born artist Lilian Mikorey – a singer, songwriter, multi instrumentalist and producer with roots in musical theatre and a degree in Popular Music from Goldsmiths, University of London. Under the name Pillbert, she establishes a dreamlike world where fabled beasts and secret colours roam the ever-shifting soundscapes, all encapsulated by her gentle vocals and quiet emotional clarity. Influenced by outsider music, ambient sound layers, and alternative pop, she embraces DIY production methods and frequently incorporates field recordings to further her tender sonic world-building. Pillbert's debut EP Fish on Land is to be released on Squama in August.
