About this Event
We will actually be hosting TWO tournaments (back-to-back) with one tournament for the more advanced players starting at 9AM, and one for the up-and-comers starting at 1PM.
Each tournament will be in the format of a round robin with participants split into 2 groups (games to 11) followed by a single elimination for the top 2 teams in each group (games to 15).
When you sign up, we'll ask your projected DUPR rating and based on that, as well as personal observation by the event organizers, players will be grouped in to 1 of 4 categories (1 being the most beginner and 4 the most advanced). 4s can only partner with 3s for the advanced tournament, and 2s can only partner with 1s for the up-and-comer tournament.
Numbers will be assigned closer to the tournament date and you'll receive an email with your potential partners. You'll then send us your top 3 choices, and partners will be automatically determined. You can’t choose the same partner you previously teamed up with.
We are currently capping the tournament to 40 participants (20 for each tournament), but if we get a lot of interest, we'll expand it to 60 participants (note: the format may change slightly to account for the additional teams).
$5 from every entry fee will go to support the Old Stone House
No refunds after May 15th (that could put the entire tournament at jeopardy, so please don't).
Also... saving the best for last!... our local Friday Pickleball is sponsoring both tournaments and special prizes will go towards the winning teams.
