As usual, we are back at our favourite venue, THE CRATE in St. James Street, in the Walthamstow area, on the first Thursday of each month. AND FOR THE JULY's one, on the 4th of JULY, we will have a LIVE BAND:
"THE JIM HAMMOND TRIO"
The Jim Hammond Trio consists of Jim Hammond on guitar/keys and vocals, Bill Crittenden on drums and vocals, and Greggi G on bass and vocals.
Bill Crittenden has enjoyed a successful career on the Jive circuit for the last 25 years, fronting his band, The KingCats. With his exceptional drumming skills and one of the best voices for Rock 'n' Roll, Bill is the perfect fit for the trio.
Greggi G has also had a lifelong career, playing in several top-notch bands over the last 40 years. His notable associations include Matchbox, The Crazy Gang, Freddie Fingers Lee, and Johnny Earl. With his commanding stage presence and brilliant ability to enhance every song, Greggi is a superb bass player to have in the trio.
Jim Hammond, like both Bill and Greggi, has been performing live for approximately 25 years. He has been part of various bands across the music scenes we love and has fronted his own successful combos, such as The Borderlines, Sweet Georgia Boys, and The Mark 2s. Jim has had the privilege of working with other talented musicians, including Lynette Morgan, Big Boy Bloater, and The KingCats. His guitar playing has a bluesy edge, and his piano styles range from 40s Boogie Woogie to 60s Jerry Lee Country.
The Jim Hammond Trio is guaranteed to keep you dancing and having an amazing time from start to finish.

The Crate is a community hub with over 20 small independent retailers, a great brewery, and 8 food outlets ( a few steps from the St James Street overground and a few minutes walks from either Blackhorse Road/ Walthamstow Central )

We will have 2 Jive Ballroom classes to begin with, followed by 2 sets of 45mins of a fantastic Live Band set
Details:
Doors open at 7.00pm and close at 10pm
- Beginners Level class from 7.00pm to 7.30pm
- Improvers class from 7.30pm to 8.00pm
- Social dancing from 8.00pm to 10.00pm - 2 sets of 45mins Live Band
Fees:
£17.00 ONE CLASSES + SOCIAL
£25.00 TWO CLASSES + SOCIAL
£12.00 SOCIAL DANCE ONLY
PLEASE NOTE:
- Booking in advance is recommended to secure your spot in class as we have limited spaces for it. Please book your ticket in advance here ( or get one at the door on the day but places for classes are limited)
- For any last-minute query, get in touch via mobile at 07981917841, NOT EMAIL as we'll be setting the night and won't be able to see emails just before or during the party.
- Refreshments & Food must be bought on-site, no outside catering is not allowed.
