JIMMY GNECCO
Straight from a run of dates opening for Depeche Mode, Jimmy Gnecco of Ours will embark on a US nationwide solo acoustic tour.
This will be the first round of touring to support his upcoming official release of New Age Heroine, an album that Jimmy feels “would have been the proper follow up to my first release Distorted Lullabies. It’s an album that brings me back to the space I was in at that time as it expands into what my original vision was from the start.”
“Please come and join me as I take this slight step back yet giant turn forward into this magical, mystical place of New Age Heroine and the future.”
Jimmy Gnecco is…the iconic voice, presence, writer and multi-instrumentalist behind the American group Ours.
He has earned the love and respect of musicians from all genres of music, as well as some of the greatest music producers and industry executives of our time. Jimmy has also lent his voice to many other songs and projects including work under his own name and additional projects with Brian May of Queen, Robert DeLeo of Stone Temple Pilots, Never Ending White Lights, and of1000faces. Either with his group Ours or solo, Jimmy has toured with everyone from Lana Del Rey, to A-Ha, The Cult, The Wallflowers, Powderfinger, Filter, Blue October, Peter Murphy, Circa Survive, Royston Langdon of Spacehog, Citizen Cope, and The Gutter Twins. He is currently out on tour opening for Depeche Mode as part of the project Humanist.

With special opening set by
BRAD BROOKS
Brad Brooks is beloved in the Bay Area as one of its finest vocalists and songwriters with 4 solo records under his belt since 2000. His latest release "God Save The City" explodes with Brooks screaming "Come on!!!" and the record never loses that urgency. From the Hall and Oates slow burn of "Feel The Might" to the classic Hi Records groove of "Why Do You Hurt" and "The Chance," this is Brooks' soul album, one he has earned the right to make. Recorded with his longtime, devoted, and white-hot live band, the record is full of first and second takes with minimal overdubs, raw and vulnerable.
Not surprisingly, Brooks' journey and the country's wild descent into partisan rancor over the last few years show up all over "God Save The City.” Brooks tackles wealth displacement in the title track ("they sang it like an angel with the devil’s rhyme"), his own mortality in "Sacred Was I" ("Fear can change you, keep you from what's true"), recalls a hilarious encounter with "Lee Marvin's Uzi," On "Strange Fruit Numb," what started as a band jam evolves into a civil rights anthem for the 21st century in the grand tradition of other Bay Area politically musical visionaries like Sly Stone and Boots Riley. With "God Save The City", Bay Area artist Brad Brooks made a triumphant return with the most direct, soulful record of his life.
