🎶 Artist Announcement — Jim Parker’s Songwriter Series at Two Sisters Square 🎶We’re excited to announce the April 9, 2026 lineup for Jim Parker’s Songwriter Series at Two Sisters Square in Downtown Scottsboro.
This special evening will feature three incredible songwriters sharing the stage “in the round” — an intimate format that has become a beloved tradition in Nashville’s legendary listening rooms.
So what is a “songwriter in the round”?
Instead of a traditional concert where one artist plays a full set, three songwriters sit together on stage and take turns performing songs and sharing the stories behind them. It’s personal, relaxed, and often filled with laughter, inspiration, and the real stories that bring the music to life. Many songs you hear in this format eventually become songs the whole world knows.
We’re proud to help bring this Nashville songwriter culture to Scottsboro.
🎤 Featuring:
Scott Southworth – A multi-award-winning singer/songwriter and recording artist whose work has earned recognition across the U.S. and Europe. A four-time Top 30 charting artist in Europe, Scott has written more than 90 independent cuts and was named Country Music People Magazine’s 2018 Indie Songwriter of the Year. His honors include the 2019 Academy of Western Artists Country Album of the Year and the 2024 Josie Award for Traditional Country Song of the Year. He is also the creator and co-host of The Music Row Show and Guerrilla Country, and performs regularly at songwriter venues and festivals around the world.
Summerlyn Powers – Known for pairing a warm country sound with thoughtful, story-driven songs inspired by the great folk singer-songwriters of the 1970s. Summerlyn began her career at 11 years old with the single “Alabama Kinda Girl,” featuring country star Pam Tillis. Today she performs as rhythm guitarist and vocalist in Pam Tillis’ band, appearing regularly on the Grand Ole Opry stage and touring nationwide. A recent Belmont University graduate in songwriting, she has shared the bill with acts such as Red Clay Strays, Band of Heathens, Sister Hazel, and more.
Daryl Wayne Dasher (“Dash”) – Making waves in the Folk and Western music scene with heartfelt lyrics and a distinctive sound. Dash’s music explores themes of nature, social awareness, personal struggles, and love, creating deep connections with audiences. With a voice reminiscent of Elvis Presley, Marty Robbins, and Waylon Jennings, his performances blend high energy with soulful storytelling. He has also collaborated with musicians from the bands of Waylon Jennings and George Jones, highlighting his deep ties to traditional country music.
