About this Event
Jeonghwan Kim, a 23-year-old pianist from South Korea, won the First Prize and Eileen Joyce Best Overall Concerto Prize at the Sydney International Piano Competition 2023. He will be performing in Adelaide on Monday 30 September 2023 at Elder Hall. The concert will feature works by Mozart, Chopin, Alkan, Liszt and Bartok
Kim began playing the piano at the age of six and has since won numerous national competitions. He was admitted to the Seoul Arts Center Academy for Young Talented Musicians at just nine years old and moved to Berlin at the age of 11. He has performed with the Konzerthaus Orchester Berlin, with the Aarhus and Odense Symphony Orchestras, and has given concerts in major halls in Berlin, Weimar, Hamburg, and Aarhus, among others.
