About this Event
We are excited to host a very special show at The Den this Mother's Day!
Jenny Don't and the Spurs with Tara Faber and Kimberly Meyer!
Jenny Don't and the Spurs have spent over a decade forging their own path in music, pioneering a unique brand of high-energy Country Western that captivates fans from the traditional Western scene to the raw energy of garage rock. Their captivating stage presence, infectious enthusiasm, and extensive discography have garnered them a global following, leading to tours on continents rarely visited by country bands.
Jenny Don't, known for her strong-willed and independent nature, embodies the authentic outlaw spirit of Country Western music. Her songwriting, influenced by the contrasting landscapes of the Pacific Northwest and Southwestern desert, forms the bedrock of their sound. The band skillfully merges their garage-rock origins with a distinct western flair, characterized by driving tempos, gritty fuzz tones, and a high-octane, rockin' western delivery that sets them apart from the herd. Their music authentically captures the outlaw spirit, with hints of gritty surf like Dick Dale, while paying homage to classic country legends like Johnny Paycheck and George Jones.
Local act, Tara Faber has been performing since the age of 11and is a singer/songwriter to be remembered. She brings passion and fun to the stage that not all performers can do. Her big vocals and rocker chic style are sure to grab your attention and keep it.
Since she was a little girl growing up on her parents’ farm near Royal, NE, Kimberly Meyer loved singing country music while concurrently being inspired through an appreciation for classical music. She received a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Performance from the University of South Dakota, studying clarinet, piano, and voice. After obtaining her music degree, Kimberly enlisted in the South Dakota Army National Guard as a musician in the 147th Army Band based out of Mitchell, SD. In 2022, Kimberly took command as the unit’s first female commander, a role she still proudly serves in today. Kimberly's current musical influences extend further into several other contemporary genres, yet it is quite obvious she remains rooted to her first true love - country music. At any given show, audiences can expect to hear her dynamic vocal range and instrumental versatility as she performs not only original music but also unique renditions of covers and at least one tribute to our nation's heroes. Audiences feel energized and impacted as Kimberly connects to their hearts and minds through storytelling and inspirational messaging at each and every performance.
