This short documentary is a portrait of Charles โCityโ Gatt, a drummer, painter, and originator of the Malta Jazz Festival. The film explores his artistic philosophy, his approach to jazz and improvisation, and his lasting impact on Maltaโs cultural scene. Through archival footage, personal recordings and interviews, it captures an artist who lived by improvisation, whether behind the drums, on a canvas, or in shaping one of Europeโs most respected jazz festivals.
This documentary is commissioned by @Napa and @ridtmalta.
