The Kyiv-based Duo Vyriy brings together Maltese saxophonist Carlo Muscat and Ukrainian concert pianist Olena Poguliaieva in a project where an external artistic voice meets deep local knowledge. Formed with the intention of re-imagining Ukrainian music through a fresh international lens, the duo explores works by outstanding Ukrainian composers, reshaped through Muscat’s distinct Mediterranean perspective and grounded in Poguliaieva’s intimate understanding of the country’s musical tradition.
