About this Event
Jazz Night with Lucy-Anne Daniels
Doors 7.00pm | Event starts 7.30pm
Join us for a special cabaret-style jazz evening with award-winning vocalist Lucy-Anne Daniels, one of the most exciting young voices on the UK jazz scene. Performing with her band in an intimate, relaxed setting, this promises to be a night of exceptional music, atmosphere and company.
At just 23, Lucy-Anne is already making waves internationally. In 2025, she won the Tina May Young Jazz Musician Award, with judges praising her “astonishing rhythmic freedom and inventiveness” and her irresistible sense of enjoyment. Her voice has been described as “mature beyond her years” (The Scotsman), reflecting her depth as both a performer and storyteller.
Shaped by gospel, jazz and theatre, Lucy-Anne’s performances are rich with emotion, humour and connection. She has appeared at the BBC Proms at the Royal Albert Hall and at leading jazz venues in London, Paris and New York, including Ronnie Scott’s.
We are delighted to welcome Lucy-Anne back to GSAL. Alongside her band, the evening will also feature outstanding student performances, concluding with a collaborative finale celebrating creativity, mentorship and the future of jazz.
