Bill Heid is a Pittsburgh born natural and virtuosic musician who was inspired to play jazz and blues piano. He has lived in Detroit, NYC, and Chicago and calls Washington DC home now. He has performed throughout the U.S., Canada, South America, Europe, and the Far East, including a three year stay in Japan and nearly two years in China. He worked the Hammond B-3 organ “chitlin clubs” with his own groups and with jazz greats.
Bill says "I approach this thing like total war and have been lucky to have avoided a day job."
His hip vernacular, unique vocal language, and risqué sense of humor, melded with his passion for baseball, have made him an entertainer nonpareil.

Randy Gillespie.
Who doesn't know Uncle G? Who hasn't been mentored or inspired or influenced by him? Very few indeed. To say he's an 'instructor of drums at MSU' is woefullly inadequate.
He has been a professional jazz drummer since he started playing with a 10-piece band in the ninth grade. During his career as a professional drummer, Randy was able to meet and/or hear almost every major jazz musician, from the peak years of jazz history in America.
