About this Event
Combining French chanson and gypsy jazz with early blues & swing and American Songbook classics popular in Paris during the Roaring Twenties.
Depicted through the memories of fictional night club singer Eloise DeFleur, portrayed by the much-praised jazz vocalist and actress Airlie Scott and her talented band, the show takes us through the songs, the clubs and the exciting atmosphere of Paris in the Jazz Age.
“Absolutely fantastic performance … thoroughly enjoyed it …..” - Mike Oldfield
Joining Airlie, who sings both in English and French, will be the hot cornet player, Leigh Henson, (Mardi Gras Band) together with a swinging rhythm section featuring the fiery yet melodic playing of guitarist Andrew Ruiz Palmer, (La Bouche Manouche, Bright Stars Of Jazz), guitarist David Ahmed (The Hot Club Of London) who plays in the style of the great gypsy guitarist Django Reinhardt, and top London double bass player Alan Gibson.
