Hailing from a family of prominent musicians, Braud draws inspiration from traditional jazz, R&B, and the American songbook. Since 2001, he has been part of Harry Connick Jr.'s band and previously led the Preservation Hall Jazz Band from 2008 to 2016. His collaborations span a diverse range of artists, including the Treme Brass Band, the Marsalis family, Foo Fighters, and Erykah Badu, among others. Braud's extensive television and film work includes roles in "A Tuba to Cuba," "NCIS: New Orleans," and "Treme," while his Broadway credits feature "One Mo’ Time" and Connick's concerts. In 2023, Braud further expanded his influence by co-founding a production music library.
