Jax Pop Con Vol. 3, an all-ages fandom and gaming event

Countess Alyx, Folio Weekly's "Best of Jax 2023" cosplayer, will return as emcee and guest judge. We also welcome back the gamers with Extra Life Jacksonville Guild (who play in support of our local Children's Miracle Network Hospitals).

There will be single-elimination style tournaments (Super Smash Bros., Street Fighter 6, and Tekken 8) as well as free play gaming options. Note: If participating in a tournament, please show up at least 15 minutes before the scheduled start time for each tournament (times TBA).

Info: Join us on the Conference Level for tabletop roleplaying games! The volunteer Game Masters with Extra Life Jacksonville will show you how to create (or choose) your character and then run a series of short campaigns (approx. 90 minutes to two hours in length) with small groups of adventurers.

In this one 60-minute session with award-winning makeup artist and SFX specialist Stephanie Mazzeo, you'll learn to work cleanly and safely to: produce realistic fresh, mid-stage, and old bruises; build believable open wounds, oozing cuts and gashes; and chieve gritty, “street-fight” texture fast with everyday tools.
