About this Event
Join us SATURDAY (4/5) at 4pm for a Mokuhanga (Japanese printmaking) demo, with Jennifer Mack-Watkins at One Contemporary Gallery.
As a printmaker, Jennifer Mack-Watkins blends Japanese woodblock printing techniques, known as mokuhanga with her culturally rich southern roots. Her work investigates societal constructs, definitions of femininity, and notions of beauty.
For the printmaking program, Mack-Watkins will lead a demonstration of mokuhanga (Japanese Woodblock). A process recognised for it's long tradition, portibility and use of non-toxic waterbased inks.
This event is free and open to the public, with artwork available for purchase.
*Also guests are encouraged to view the current exhibition, "Y3K: BLACK QUANTUM FUTURES" (Open Fridays & Saturdays 11a-5p)
