New Year’s Resolutions1: I will come to the first Mutiny Shanty Session of 2026, on Monday 19th January, at Bristol Cruising Club (Redcliffe Backs, BS1 6NE).

2: I will join in with the sea shanties, sailors’ songs, songs of the sea, and general maritime misbehaviour — or, at the very least, sit back and soak up the rowdy nautical atmosphere.
3: I will consider leading a song or performing one myself, even if I’ve never done so before, because I’ve heard it’s a super-friendly and welcoming group.
4: And if I can’t stay for the whole evening, I’ll just drop in for a song or two and to wish everyone a Happy New Year.
