January 2026 Wonky China - David Meale, Eurasia Group

Our first China Wonk of 2026 will be David Meale, China Practice Head at Eurasia Group. Recently retired from the State Department after three decades in the Foreign Service, most recently as Deputy Chief of Mission at the US Embassy in Beijing, David will discuss why he is optimistic about US-China relations in 2026 but less so for the longer term.
