About this Event
Are you interested in learning more about how to engage elected officials in supporting issues that significantly impact older Coloradans?
Come join the Colorado Center for Aging (CCA) Advocacy Training on January 30, 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM.
This training has been offered for community members for more than 25 years and is an excellent way to give you the tools you need to advocate on legislative issues at the Capitol or with your local elected officials. The 2025 State of Colorado Legislative Session has begun, and it’s so important that the community elevates the voice of older Coloradans.
This training will help you to gain more knowledge in:
- How to advocate with Colorado legislators
- How to register as a Citizen Advocate
- How a bill becomes a law
- How to read a bill
- How to read a fiscal note
- How to testify in person or online, and much more!!
Program fee: $25 per person.
A limited number of scholarships are available for this training.
Your $25 registration helps support the advocacy work of the Colorado Center for Aging!
As a non-profit organization, the mission of the Colorado Center for Aging is to educate and inform the public, community leaders, and elected officials about communities across the state and issues that impact the health and well-being of older Coloradans.
