James Harriman brings his annual Christmas show to the Exchange Basement. The 'Almost Christmas' show has become a tradition for many of the southwest's population, and is sure to be a fun evening for all. “You Will Laugh, Cry, Dance, Sing and Drink Along With Friends and Strangers Alike!”. This year in a more intimate venue James is playing a solo set full of Carols, Christmas Hits and Harriman Favourites. Plus songs from the Festive EP 'Almost Christmas Vol 1'. Even if you've never heard of James, this show is sure to get you in the Christmas Mood.
“You Will Laugh, Cry, Dance, Sing and Drink Along With Friends and Strangers Alike!”
James Harriman takes a nostalgic Folk-Rock sound and collides it with a Rock N Roll attitude creating a sound that brings old and new together.
James first hit the live music circuit in Birmingham in 2015 bursting onto the acoustic scene with a looper pedal and his signature larger than life live persona. Inspired by the likes of Frank Turner, Steve Knightley and Billy Bragg. But after moving to Bath in 2016 for university, James' fell in love with the Southwest's unique ‘left field’ festival music. Thus, the James Harriman sound was born.
James has had the pleasure of supporting artists such as "Black Water County", "Funke And The Two Tone Baby", “Felix Hagan” and "Gavin Osborn" to name a few. James has played many national events including "The Bath Festival Finale Weekend", "The Birmingham Weekender" and most recently he was invited to perform a set for BBC Radio Bristol's "Airwaves" digital festival.
Truthfully, James Harriman plays the music he would enjoy listening to. If you like it too, that’s a bonus. Over the past four years James has grown a dedicated following and a reputation for high energy live shows. "You will Laugh, Cry, Dance, Sing and Drink along with Friends and Strangers Alike!"
