This Flashband is all about the green: our Meet & Greet Jam is on St. Patty’s Day, our Showcase is on 4/20, and it kicks off the start of Earth Week! In honor of so much seasonal greenery, eight all-new Flashbands will be covering jam bands and music that celebrates “green”. We’re talking Grateful Dead, Allman Brothers, Tedeschi Trucks, Bob Marley & the Wailers, Blues Traveler, DMB, UB40, Phish, Toots and the Maytals, Wilco, Goose, Widespread Panic, and more. If jamming is your thing, this is the Flashband showcase for you!
How the lottery works (updated!)
Register for a spot in the lottery between 12-1pm ET on Thursday, 3/7
- Once you've completed your purchase, you'll receive an automated email from Eventbrite verifying your lottery spot. This does not confirm your participation in Flashband.
- After the lottery is closed, you'll get a follow-up email from the Flashband Director with more details on what to expect.
- Within 48 hours, our system will randomly sort lottery registrants into Participants and Waitlisters and you'll receive an email with your status and next steps:
>> Participants (performers) will receive a Welcome and Jam Prep email. This tells you all you need to know about the Meet & Greet Jam on 3/17. They will have 48 hours to notify the Director if they can't participate.
>> Waitlisters will receive a Waitlist email. Waitlisters will be contacted by the Director if a slot becomes available, and will be refunded after the showcase if they do not come off the waitlist. More details in FAQs at www.flashbanddc.com.
Requirements: You must be available for the jam on 3/17 and the showcase 4/20 to participate.
