Yhdysvalloisssa syntynyt ja Iso-Britanniassa asuva soul-komeetta Jalen Ngonda yhdistää musiikissaan ainutlaatuisella tavalla Motownin, Philly-soulin ja nykypäivän soundimaailman. Vuonna 2023 julkaistu debyyttialbumi Come Around and Love Me kirvoitti kriitikoilta kiitosta ja nosti Ngondan hetkessä kansainväliseen valokeilaan.Snoop Doggin, Jill Scottin ja Elton Johnin ylistämän laulaja-lauluntekijän tuotantoa ja tulkintaa on verrattu Marvin Gayeen ja David Ruffiniin. Jalen Ngonda is one of the brightest rising stars in contemporary soul music. Originally from the United States but now based in the UK, this singer-songwriter seamlessly blends the essence of Motown, Philly soul, and modern sensibility in his music. His 2023 debut album, Come Around and Love Me, received critical acclaim and instantly propelled him onto the international stage.
Ngonda’s music echoes the golden age of soul from the 1960s and 1970s, yet he brings a fresh and contemporary touch to it. His voice has been compared to that of Marvin Gaye and David Ruffin, and he has caught the attention of major artists like Snoop Dogg, Jill Scott, and Elton John.
