International Women’s Day honours women’s achievements and celebrates women’s wellbeing through movement — recognising that softness and strength can coexist.
Softness in Strength: IWD Mat Pilates is a beginner-friendly, community-led Pilates class designed for individuals who want to move, breathe, and reconnect — with their bodies, with each other, and with the bigger picture of women’s wellbeing.
Led by a Senior STOTT Pilates Instructor, this intimate mat class blends gentle strength, mindful movement, and moments of calm. Expect grounding sequences, accessible options for all levels, and a supportive, inclsuive environment — whether you’re new to Pilates or simply craving a more intentional way to move.
This gathering is for:
- Individuals who want to celebrate International Women’s Day beyond hashtags
- Those who value softness without giving up strength
- Anyone who believes health, dignity, and access are fundamental to human rights
Why this class matters
Period poverty is a recognised public health issue, defined as the lack of access to menstrual products and menstrual health education (World Health Organization, 2024). In Singapore, it continues to affect women and girls in low-income communities, limiting their ability to fully participate in school, work, and daily life.
All profits from this event will be used to purchase menstrual pads/tampons and donated to Go With The Flow for delivery to their existing beneficiaries across Singapore.
By coming together this International Women’s Day, we celebrate women’s achievements and help create the conditions for more women to reach their potential. This initiative by Her Dignity Singapore is grounded in empathy, shared responsibility, and the belief that dignity should be preserved — quietly, consistently, and human to human.
Come for the movement. Stay for the meaning.
About the organiser
Her Dignity Singapore exists to address period poverty as a barrier to education, work, and human dignity. By improving access to menstrual health resources and support systems, we aim to ensure that no one is prevented from learning, working, or living with dignity because of a biological process they did not choose.
⚠️ Important Notes
- All genders are very welcome to join this class and support the cause :-)
- Guests are expected to respect the space and community
