About this Event
“It's all fun and games: T/ween edition" is held monthly at Prototype x Sharpsburg. For grownups with older children (approximately 9-14 years old), the workshop is held from 1-3pm on the 3rd Saturday at Prototype x Sharpsburg.
Examples of projects and activities for Tweens and Teens include:
-Designing and screenprinting posters and handkerchiefs
-Learning how to design in TinkerCAD and 3D printing small objects
-Laser cutting tiny looms and weaving tiny coasters
-Designing, making, and playing our own board games
-Designing and screenprinting t-shirts
-Designing and printing chess pieces in TinkerCAD
-Laser cutting and etching chess boards
Note: Age ranges are simply a recommendation; if your child falls outside of these ranges but you think they would enjoy the content, please sign up! Adults must participate in the workshop alongside their children (no drop offs allowed.)
INSTRUCTOR BIO
Erin Gatz is a mom to three young kids, a faculty member at Carnegie Mellon University, and the Founder of Prototype PGH. This workshop series is an attempt to figure out how to spend quality inter-generational time with kids, friends, neighbors and family members, in a way that feels fulfilling, fun, educational, and low-stress.
