When Brawling Bard shows up having prepared for the wrong show what can they do? Panic, of course! Then throw together an unplanned, unrehearsed Midsummer’s Night Dream with the wrong props, wrong costumes and an in-over-their-heads, increasingly desperate cast. “Brawling Bard Theater always brings a very chaotic and physical style of performance to the stage in which hilarity always ensues.” Jack Lake, Pittsburgh in the Round. Founded in 2013 for the very first Pittsburgh Fringe, Brawling Bard has won multiple awards including Audience Choice, Spirit of the Fringe, Best Show, Best Company, Best Digital Show, Best Live Show.A Dream of Midsummer is being presented as part of the 13th annual Pittsburgh Fringe Festival. Fringe is part of a global tradition of independent performance — a place where stories, ideas, and creative expression are layered, stitched, and lit in ways you didn’t even know you wanted to see.
